Rough Justice - O'Neil's Woking

Friday nights gig was with the gentle and kind titans of the pub rock circuit, Rough Justice at O'Neil's in Woking.

After intense contract discussions during the day, it was with great apathy that the RJ boys arrived at Woking's premier chain plastic paddy pub.

I arrived nice and early, as I often like to, and I was shocked to see that the Muppets in charge of Woking town centre have decided to remove half of the parking near the venue and turn it into bicycle racks! Ridiculous! I mean, it was always a nightmare to find somewhere to park in Woking, but now its insane! I will have to remember to bring my 2 guitars, cases, 75lb 2 x 12" combo and all the associated paraphernalia tied to my back whilst I cycle to Woking in future!

Its fair to say that O'Neil's was quite quiet this evening. Starting at our 10.30pm graveyard shift, it was a pretty apathetic audience, and not even out special house blend of 70's and classic rock covers could interest the assembled Woking crowd. Luckily during the second part of the evening, things started to 'hot up' - no doubt aided and abetted by the attendance of the 'Camphill Mob'.

As all you RJ fans would expect, the evening ended with the traditional Freebird ending, though it was sans guitar swap. However I am pleased to tell all of you that the Stoner/Caesar twin guitar pick toss was observed.

As we all packed up our troubles, I observed the 15 year old girls dressed like prostitutes who line the streets of Woking at the witching hour.

Ernie Ball forum bash was marvellous!
