Mo'Rockan Soul - Someones Garden

Saturday nights gig was with Bi-Annual Pardy Band Mo'Rockan Soul at Lex's birthday bash in a garden down the road a bit.

As many of your people know, Mo'Rockan Soul have had a constant stream of gigs, and this is the first the last 5 years! So it was with firm anticipation as I drove to this gig - GPS aided I am pleased to report!

It must be said that the load in for this gig was pretty poor, and meant a 'Krypton Factor' style obstacle course through the kitchen whilst a delicious curry was being prepared. Dodging pots, pans, naan bread and rice we were soon set up in the gaz-a-bo and ready for one serious pardy!

Tonight's gig was also Mark's last with MRS. Mark really has had trouble with the pace of gigs - the tireless touring and constant rehearsals! It takes an old road-dog to keep with with the hustle and bustle of a pardy band on the road, so Mark, or 'Newbie' as he is known called it quits. As is customary in these proceedings, we purchased him a KFC and wished him well for the future before bitching about him when he had gone.

The theme of the gig was 'electrocution' with the threat of rain looming over the festivities. I had to erect a special umbrella affair to protect my assets, but luckily it was nothing more that a small tinkle of waters, which did not spoil the pardy in either Mo'Rockan Soul Part One or Two.

Special mention must go to WW Paul for his semaphore 'Brown Eye Girl' communication skills to Mark. It was a pardy classic, and a special sight to be remembered for years to come!

As the evening ended with 'Champions' and the assembled in the garden were hugging, laughing and crying tears of joy, whilst the boys in the band were very pleased indeed!

As I packed up my troubles in my old kit bag, many firm handshakes were observed and we all disappeared into the night.
