From the office of Caesar's Rants Art's & Culture Correspondent Mr P. Taker
After a three month break, within the last week Slough's maverick improvisational cross-over guitarist Ken Malmsteen, has been busy posting a new series of videos on YouTube with a "Masterclass" theme.
Check out the most recent one "Ken Malmsteen Talking About Classical Music"
Highlights for me were at 1min 30sec when he almost nailed a descending minor pentatonic scale, 2mins 8secs where I identified an approximation of Edvard Greig's Norwegian classic "Hall of the Mountain King" (Opus 23) and at 3min 30 sec where we hear Ken's own unique reading of the main theme from JS Bach's popular Toccata & Fugue in D minor (BWV 565).
Ken winds up from 4mins 20sec to the end, by giving us a personal account of his love/hate relationship with classical music.
This is a "must see" episode for all Ken fans out there, to which I would give a 5 star rating.
Another one worth checking out is "Ken Malmsteen Explans(sic) and Demonstrates pt3":
This is Ken, on top form, playing along with JS Bach's "Minuet" from Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor for Flute and Strings (BWV 1067). Of particular interest here, is the apparent wardrobe door attack 40 seconds in.
Another 5 star spectacular!

Every time I think I've learned all I could from him, he blows my mind once more.
Personally I like the bit where he's saying that his guitar is a Fender... has he ever read what's written on the headstock?
Though with his ability to waffle without actually saying anything, I think that once he's finished conquering the world of music, politics beckons!
talentless cunt.
